Administered to Oregon kindergarten teachers, the Kindergarten Readiness Survey collects data from kindergarten children in most Oregon school districts. Survey results are important for early childhood staff, kindergarten teachers, parents, and policy-makers. Being aware of the skills and knowledge children have as they enter school enables teachers and parents to help each child move forward on his/her educational journey. Results from the survey inform early childhood staff of areas of needed change and policy-makers of critical decisions that impact programs for young children prior to the Kindergarten-Grade 12 educational setting.
