2007 Conference

The Closing the Achievement Gap conference is a broad professional training and public awareness event designed for educators, administrators, community leaders and parents.

The 2007 conference took place at the Oregon Convention Center on May 11th from 8:30 - 4:00.

A variety of workshops were offered focusing on research based strategies, techniques, and programs Oregon schools are using to increase success for all students and close the achievement gap. Workshops, speakers, and poster sessions cover topics involving a variety of student groups, including ethnic minorities, students living in poverty and homelessness, students with disabilities, foster children, English language learners, and more.
