State Releases Strategic Report on Increased Capacity for School Improvements
State Schools Superintendent has announced the results of a comprehensive study titled, “Better Supports for Better Oregon Schools” aimed at increasing statewide capacity for school improvement and student achievement by focusing on the efficiency of delivery and cooperation between The Oregon Department of Education (ODE), education service districts (ESD), and local school districts. The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) commissioned the Annenburg Institute to facilitate this process with representatives of these central K-12 groups. The results are a strategic plan for increased quality, alignment, and focus. Link to full report below.

State Releases Report on Efficiency of Oregon Education Service Districts
State Schools Superintendent has announced the results of a comprehensive study assessing the efficiency of the Oregon system of Education Service Districts (ESD). Specific issues addressed in this study include duplication of services at the state, ESD, and local school district levels; accountability; and the types and delivery methods of programs and services provided by ESDs. The report presents major recommendations to further enhance efficiency and effectiveness of public education in Oregon. Link to full report below.
