Level 3 – In-Depth Practice for High School Teachers

Level 3 contains SIX workshops, 3 for English Language Arts teachers and 3 for Content area teachers. Both are designed to be presented by a local facilitator to high school teachers. Length of each workshop is about 3 to 4 hours.

Focus of Workshops

Review of requirements for Essential Skill of Writing
In-depth practice using Official Oregon Writing Scoring Guide
Practice applying Scoring Guide to sample student papers with emphasis on accuracy
Awareness of Common Core State Standards for Writing and how they align with Oregon’s scoring guide
