Level 3 – In-Depth Practice for High School Teachers

Level 3 contains TWO workshops, 1 for Mathematics teachers and 1 for content area teachers. Both are designed to be presented by a local facilitator to high school teachers. Length of each workshop is about 3 to 4 hours.

Understand current information about Common Core State Standards for Mathematics
Review of requirements for Essential Skill of Mathematics
In-depth understanding of Official Oregon Math Problem-Solving Scoring Guide
Practice applying Scoring Guide to sample student papers with emphasis on accuracy
Understand importance of problem-solving in formative classroom assessments
