Level 2 – Introduction for High School Teachers

Level 2 contains TWO workshops, 1 for High School Mathematics teachers and 1 for High School Content Area teachers who have some math emphasis in their courses. Both are designed to be presented by a local facilitator. Length of each workshop is about 2 to 2½hours.

Focus of Workshops
  • Awareness of Oregon requirements for the Essential Skill of Apply Mathematics and high school diploma
  • Understanding of Official Oregon Mathematics Problem-Solving Scoring Guide
  • Practice applying Scoring Guide to sample student papers
  • Awareness of different types and uses of scoring guide
