Level 2 - Introduction of High School Teachers

The Level 2 Introduction to Reading Scoring Guide is designed to be presented by a local facilitator to high school teachers, both English Language Arts Teachers and content area teachers. Length of the workshop is about 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Focus of Workshops
  • Awareness of Oregon requirements for the Essential Skill of Reading and high school diploma
  • Understanding of Official Oregon Reading Scoring Guide
  • Practice applying Scoring Guide to 3 sample student papers
  • Awareness of different types and uses of classroom assessments (including a basic reading assessment plan).
