Common Core State Standards - Education NW Symposium Resources
On February 8-9, 2011 educators from Oregon and around the Northwest met in Portland for a two day symposium presented by Education Northwest and the Northwest Regional Comprehensive Center entitled
Common Core State Standards: Planning for Effective Implementation
. Attendees included school, district and ESD personnel, partners in higher education, ODE staff and others.
This two day symposium was a valuable opportunity to engage in a needed discussion around transition to and implementation of the Common Core, and represents only the first of many forums in which individuals from Oregon’s education community will be invited to work together to ensure a unified implementation of the CCSS takes place in Oregon.
