The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) has a full line-up this year of workshops around a variety of ESEA topics and programs. Some workshops will be repeated. Prior registration is required, and has been extended until Aug. 2, 2013. There is no charge for this training event. So, register soon!
The first day (Aug. 6) will include two, half-day sessions specifically for Priority and Focus Schools:
- The first half-day session for Priority and Focus Schools will cover such things as planning and monitoring.
- The second half-day session entitled, "Educator Effectiveness Systems: Standards, Rubrics and Observations" will focus on components of each district’s new teacher evaluation system. Participants should bring copies of their district’s rubric for teacher evaluation for the 2013-14 school year and their district implementation plan.
The remaining two days (Aug. 7-8) will include a large assortment of topics around ESEA.
