Student Source Recognition
Student Source, a project at Raleigh Hills K-8 in Beaverton, was featured during the February 5th National Digital Learning Day broadcast. Raleigh Hills students, under the guidance of teacher Doug Bundy, create gaming modules for their younger colleagues by working with teachers to develop an understanding of learning targets and subject standards. Students then evaluate existing games or develop new games to build a module for children to learn content in English language arts, mathematics, science and other content areas. Student Source exemplifies the successful collaboration between teachers, students, and technology to build a program that is now used throughout the district.
