|We are pleased to announce the next grant connected to Oregon’s Strategic Initiatives. As part of the new Network of Quality Teaching and Learning, there are several grants aimed at closing the academic achievement gap and promoting equity in our schools as we work toward our 40-40-20 goal. Paramount to the Network is the expansion of strong, sustainable systems of minority educator recruitment and retention. The Oregon Minority Educator Pipeline Models Grant is designed to support school districts and post-secondary institutions who are working to expand educator pipeline models that recruit and retain educators who are culturally and/or linguistically diverse. The grant program seeks to provide funds to school districts and post-secondary institutions who can create collaborative processes, as outlined in the RFP, to demonstrate an increase in the number of minority teachers and administrators employed and retained by school districts and education service districts in Oregon.
