Educator Effectiveness Summits Held This October 2013
To support districts in their early implementation efforts, two summits focused on Evaluation and Support Systems and Common Core State Standards Implementation will be held this October.  Districts will be eligible to be reimbursed up to $500 to off-set travel and substitute expenses.

The Educator Effectiveness Summits will be held in:
  • Eugene on October 2nd in conjunction with the Special Education Conference
  • Bend on October 22nd in conjunction with the COSA Principals’ Conference
Districts are encouraged to bring a team of individuals to this event to participate in a statewide professional learning community focused on educator effectiveness and the Common Core State Standards.  Registration:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2013FallEESummits

The Educator Effectiveness Summit Outcomes are:
  • Learning by collaborating with other districts
  • Examining promising practices focused on implementation of educator support systems and Common Core State Standards
  • Building understanding of  inter-rater reliability
  • Developing a deeper understanding of  student learning and growth and professional goals
  • Planning next steps
Participants need to bring:
  • Laptop/tablet/or other electronic device
  • District teacher and administrator evaluation handbooks
  • District teacher and administrator rubrics
  • Student Learning and Growth and Professional Goals examples
  • CCSS/Content Standards/curriculum maps/and/or samples of performance assessments
