Beginning in 2011-12, the OAKS Online Math test has supported a Spanish computer-based read-aloud option for students taking the side-by-side English/Spanish Math test. Please note that the Spanish computer-based read-aloud provides a Spanish-only read-aloud and does not support a bilingual English/Spanish read-aloud for students; however, due to a behind-the-scenes programming issue, there are some items for which the Read-Aloud feature will read aloud in both Spanish and English. To access the Spanish computer-based read-aloud, districts must install an approved Spanish voice pack and assign Spanish as the student's test language and designate the read-aloud functionality for the student in the OAKS Online Test Information Delivery Engine (TIDE). At this time the Spanish Computer-Based Read-Aloud is not available for the science or social sciences assessments. For more information, please refer to the TIDE User Guide  .
