Revision to Essential Skills (Smarter Balanced transition) Numbered Memo

Numbered Memo 007-2012-13 (Essential Skills Graduation Requirements During Transition to Smarter Balanced) was revised late last week (Friday, February 8) to include the following statement:

“Note that while students are able to use evidence that was collected prior to the transition to Smarter Balanced for graduation purposes, students enrolled in grade 11 during the 2014-2015 school year will still be required to take the Smarter Balanced assessment for federal accountability purposes.”
