| ELPA Test Takers Must Have LEP Flag Set on SSID Record |
The 2012-13 test window for the English Language Proficiency Assessment (ELPA) opened on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 and runs through Tuesday, April 30, 2013. For 2012-13, as in both 2010-11 and 2011-12, the ELPA will only be available for students whose LEP flag is set to “Y” on the student’s SSID record. Districts can confirm that this flag is appropriately set by viewing the student details tab in the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) of the OAKS Online System (the day after the SSID record was updated). If a student starts an ELPA test, and the LEP flag is changed to “N” while the test is paused, the student will not be able to continue the ELPA test until the LEP flag has been updated to “Y” in TIDE again. For information about administering the ELPA, please see Appendix H - Requirements for ELPA Administration in the 2012-13 Test Administration Manual (http://www.ode.state.or.us/go/tam). If you have questions or need assistance, please contact your Regional ESD Support Partner .
