| OAKS Online Retest Opportunities Now Available |
As of January 2, 2013, OAKS Online multiple test opportunities are now available for those districts with policies allowing for students to retest. High school students have up to three total test opportunities in OAKS Online Reading, Math, and Science, as well as up to two test opportunities in OAKS Online Social Sciences. New for 2012-13, students in grades 3-8 have up to two total test opportunities in OAKS Online Reading, Math, Science, and Social Sciences, as available by grade. Please remember that districts may only retest students in grades 3-8 who have already met or exceeded the standard if the district first receives explicit parental consent. Criteria for collecting explicit parental consent are included on p. 33 of the Test Administration Manual. In addition, the Best Practices Guide provides guidance on how to appropriately identify students who would benefit from an opportunity to retest. |
