Nominate an Outstanding Science Teacher for the Presidential Award!
The Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) is the highest recognition that a kindergarten through 12th grade mathematics or science teacher may receive for outstanding teaching in the United States. The 2012-2013 nomination period for 7-12 grade mathematics and science teachers for the PAEMST program is currently open. Anyone--principals, teachers, parents, students, or members of the general public--may nominate exceptional math or science teachers teaching grades 7-12 for the 2012-13 Award Year. Teachers may also apply directly at www.paemst.org. The Nomination Deadline is April 1, 2013. The Application Deadline is May 1, 2013 for secondary school teachers (Grades 7-12). Elementary school teachers (Grades K-6) are eligible to apply in the next cycle in 2013-14. For more information about the PAEMST, visit www.paemst.org.
