| Differentiated Performance Rubrics Now Available for Educator Evaluation & Support Systems |
| The Oregon Framework for Teacher and Administrator Evaluation & Support outlines requirements for local teacher and administrator evaluation and support systems following state legislation and the ESEA Flexibility Waiver criteria. All Oregon districts must submit their revised evaluation system and implementation plan to ODE by July 1, 2013. Rubrics included as part of this plan must be aligned to the state adopted Model Core Teaching Standards (InTASC) and the Oregon Educational Leadership/Administrator Standards and designed with four performance levels as described in the Oregon Framework.
The Oregon Department of Education and stakeholder workgroup conducted a review and crosswalk of rubrics aligned to the standards. ODE recommends districts consider the rubrics in the link below for use in their local evaluation systems. Districts may adopt or adapt these rubrics. Adaptation must be aligned to the standards. Districts may choose to use other rubrics but must submit a crosswalk to ODE to provide evidence of strong alignment to the standards. The July 1, 2013 web submission template will offer a check box for the listed rubrics. There will be an upload for districts choosing to implement their own rubric. The upload will require the rubric and completed crosswalk. Differentiated Performance Rubrics |
