Education Northwest To Continue Services to ODE

Education Northwest has been named one of 15 regional centers around the country that will provide high-impact training and technical assistance to ODE and other state education agencies in the Northwest. The 5-year, $1.8 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education will continue funding the Northwest Regional Comprehensive Center (NWRCC), which focuses on educator effectiveness, school improvement, and Common Core State Standards (CCSS) implementation. In its 16-year history of providing NWRCC services, Education Northwest has established strong collaborations with state education leaders and staff. In recent projects, NWRCC has helped ODE staff create modules to introduce CCSS in a number of subjects and helped to develop a framework and guidance for districts to use in designing teacher evaluation systems.
