$92,436.00 - $136,344.00 Annually
There is currently one full-time position available with the Office of Student Learning and Partnerships at the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) in Salem, Oregon. This is an executive position and serves at the pleasure of the Deputy Superintendent.
This position is responsible to the Deputy Superintendent to ensure that all students, especially those with disabilities and other special needs benefit from effective educational services and programs and related services that lead to successful transition to adult life, independent living, and employment by:
Leading, directing, and administering special education and related services for the State of Oregon.
Developing, promoting, and implementing effective programs of services through school reform, instructional excellence, and interagency collaboration.
Administering a biennial budget exceeding $450 million for operations, contracts, and grants for special education, related services, educational services, evaluation, research, program and resource development, personnel development, and other activities.
Working with advisory groups such as the State Advisory Council for Special Education, the Cooperative Personnel Planning Council, the Higher Education Council, the Policy and Planning Committee of the Confederation of Oregon School Administrators, and others to create and sustain coordinated programs and services in an effective manner.
