| New Essential Skills Report |
A new Essential Skills report will be released to the public January 29, 2013 along with the 2011-12 Dropout and Cohort Graduation Rate reports. A preview of the 2011-12 Essential Skills report will be made available to districts through the Report Card/Accountability Reporting Validation site. There will be separate Essential Skills reports for regular diplomas and modified diplomas, based on the 2008-09 adjusted cohort. Each report will be disaggregated by district and subgroup, showing the number and percent who met essential skills via: 1) OAKS assessments; 2) other standardized tests (e.g. SAT); and 3) other means (e.g. work samples). The reports will also summarize OAKS assessment results for each of these three categories. For further information about the Essential Skills report, contact Kevin Hamler-Dupras at Kevin.Hamler-Dupras@state.or.us or (503) 947-5828. For questions regarding the Essential Skills, contact Derek Brown at Derek.Brown@state.or.us or (503) 947-5841.
