|Winter Paper-Based Writing Order Window Opens October 18|
The order window for the winter paper-based Writing test opens Thursday, October 18, 2012. Districts will have from October 18 through December 10, 2012 to complete their winter test orders for eligible* grade 11 and 12 students.
Districts may order paper-based writing tests for their students using the Test Information Delivery Engine (TIDE) of the OAKS Online System. Either the District Security and Test Administrator (DTSA) or District Security Administrator (DSA) will need to upload a CSV file containing the SSID, DOB, teacher name, and class period for all students who will need to receive a writing test booklet. Based on the student information already loaded into TIDE and linked to the SSID, TIDE will then be able to supply all additional information for that student such as district, school, and grade. *For 2012-13, only students enrolled in either grade 11 or 12 who have not yet met or exceeded the Writing achievement standard Students enrolled in grades 9 or 10 may not access the test under any circumstances; similarly, students in grades 11 or 12 who have already met or exceeded the achievement standard may not test. ODE will not fill orders submitted by districts for ineligible students. While districts will receive an overage of “blank” writing booklets to address fluctuations in student enrollment, districts must ensure that only eligible grade 11 and 12 students use these booklets.
