2011-12 Dropout Report, Cohort Graduation Report, and Exit Adjustment

Preparations for the cohort graduation and dropout reports begin in October. Districts will be able to review student level data, edit their data, and see the results of their data edits to the 2011-12 cohort graduation and dropout rates report between October 25 and December 7 on the district secure site. Public release of the 2011-12 cohort graduation and dropout reports is scheduled for January 29, 2013.

The first step is the Exit Adjustment window, which runs October 18 through November 16 this year, and is an opportunity to edit outcome-related data in the Annual ADM 11-12 collection. Be sure to check the calculated end date codes for your students during this window, and make adjustments to their reported end date codes as necessary (for example, to add diplomas that were not reported during the original Annual ADM window, or to report students who completed the 11-12 school year but did not re-enroll as expected for 12-13). Remember that the calculated end date codes are suggestions based on other records ODE has for the student. More details will be provided in the WebEx.

On October 25, the graduation and dropout validation windows will open. You can log into the window via the Report Card/AYP application on the district secure site and see your school and district graduation rates. Once the window opens, your regional ESD partners PDF

will have student-level files (for the students included in your rates) available upon request. The validations are scheduled to refresh every Thursday throughout the validation window, which runs until December 7.
