| Oregon Educators to Participate in Smarter Balanced Pilot Stimulus Review |
The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium has begun the process of developing the first set of items and performance tasks which are scheduled to be piloted in spring 2013. Six Oregon educators have been selected by the Consortium to participate in the critical step of reviewing the stimulus materials that will be used to develop items and performance tasks. Stimulus materials are those that elicit students' knowledge and skills or that students can use to demonstrate their knowledge and skills (e.g., reading passages, video clips). The stimulus review will take place in June 2012 and will focus on reviewing stimuli for content, bias and sensitivity, and accessibility. |
