|Technology Readiness Collection Closes on June 30|
The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium along with the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) developed a Technology Readiness Tool to support states’ planning as they transition to next-generation assessments. This optional survey will provide Oregon with critical information about the technology needed to administer the new online assessments in four areas: computers, computer-to-tester ratio, network infrastructure, and staff and personnel.
There will be six data collection windows in this tool. The first collection window began on April 2 and will close on June 30, 2012.
As of June 1, 2012, 18% of schools in Oregon have submitted data and are ready for review and verification.
If you have any questions regarding the collection process, please contact the ODE.Helpdesk@state.or.us or 503-947-5715.
