|Deadline for Shipping Spring Paper-Based Writing Tests – June 4|
Districts who administered the spring paper-based Writing test must ensure that all completed tests are shipped for scoring by Monday, June 4. In addition, by June 4 districts must ensure that all unused test booklets, including blank overage booklets, are securely shredded.
When packaging completed tests for return shipping, districts should use the same boxes in which the test booklets originally arrived and must use the return mailing labels included in the Return Kit delivered to districts during the week of May 3. Districts submitting non-precoded “overage” booklets for scoring must include a signed Overage Certification form with their shipment certifying that overage booklets were only used to test eligible Grade 11 students who had not previously taken and passed the High School Writing test. Instructions for packaging completed tests for return shipment and scoring are included on p. G-20 of the 2011-12 Test Administration Manual and are also repeated in checklist format in the return checklist included in the Return Kit. Tests shipped after June 4 will be treated as invalid and will not be scored.
