| Technology Readiness Tool Update Collection Opens April 2 |
The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium along with the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) developed a Technology Readiness Tool to support states’ planning as they transition to next-generation assessments. This optional survey will provide Oregon with critical information about the technology needed to administer the new online assessments in four areas: computers, computer-to-tester ratio, network infrastructure, and staff and personnel. There will be six data collection windows in this tool. The first collection window runs April 2 to June 14, 2012. Information for using the Technology Readiness Tool and uploading the information is available at the following links: Training module http://techreadiness.org/t/TechnologyReadinessTool/launch.html User's Guide http://www.techreadiness.org/UsersGuide/ Frequently Asked Questions http://www.techreadiness.org/faqs/ For more information regarding the Technology Readiness Tool, visit www.smarterbalanced.org/ If you have any questions please contact the ODE.Helpdesk@state.or.us or 503-947-5715.
