| Northwest Innovative Schools Network Webinar - PBIS in Alternative Education |
| The first annual Northwest Innovative Schools Conference occurred in October 2011 to address isolation expressed by alternative school educators and administrators. The one-day conference was held at Gervais High School in Gervais, Oregon where approximately 150 staff from innovative schools attended workshops focused on sessions that ranged from Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) in Alternative Education Programs to presentations on designing innovative programs, student care teams and training on Oregon’s Essential Skills. Conference participants expressed interest in attending another conference on the Oregon Statewide Staff Inservice Day (October 12, 2012) and in participating in webinars to extend topics that were presented and relevant to innovative schools. As a result, the first Northwest Innovative Schools Network Webinar took place February 17, 2012 and was titled PBIS in Alternative Education and included a presentation by Dr. Jeff Sprague, from the University of Oregon Institute on Violence and Destructive Behavior. Dr. Sprague's presentation slides and a video archive are below to support those who were not able to attend the webinar.
