| OAKS Testing Opportunity Survey |
ODE currently supports up to 3 annual test opportunities per student in Reading, Math, and Science and 2 opportunities in Social Sciences. Starting in 2014-15, Oregon will begin administering the Common Assessment in Math and English Language Arts developed by the SMARTER Balanced Consortium. Under the Common Assessment, students will likely have only one test opportunity per subject. As part of the transition to the Common Assessment, ODE is considering whether to reduce the number of test opportunities per subject starting in 2012-13. ODE has posted a survey seeking stakeholder input to help inform ODE’s decision-making process. ODE invites you to participate in this survey now through Tuesday, February 21, 2012. ODE plans to share the results from this survey with the State Board of Education in March. To take the survey, please click on the following link: Test Opportunity Survey. |
