Preview of Preliminary School and District Report Cards Posted September 15, 2011 - Action Requested

The first release of Report Cards will be available for district preview on the secure web site (https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/login/) on September 15, 2011 at 1 PM. A second preview is scheduled for September 29, 2011. A final preview is scheduled for Tuesday, October 4, which will reflect any data changes through September 30. It is essential for districts to review and validate all data elements displayed on the report card, specifically the non-rating data elements.

Districts and schools can identify any errors by appealing on the secure web page. Appeals for changes to the District and School Report Cards will be accepted until September 29 at 5:00 PM.

In addition, “How to Read” documents have been posted on the Report Card Tools page: http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/page/?=661. These How to Read guides explain the contents of each section of the elementary, middle, high school, and district level Report Cards.

Important dates are listed below:

September 15 - Report Card validation opens. First preview of report cards and detail sheets available.
September 29 - Second preview of the report cards and detail sheets. Report Card validation closes. All appeals must be submitted by 5 PM.
September 30 - Last date for changes to science and writing test records for final school and district report cards; Student Centered Staging closes at 11:59 PM
October 4 - Final District Preview, including Spanish versions of report cards
October 6 - School and district report cards and detail sheets posted on the public website (http://www.ode.state.or.us/data/reportcard/reports.aspx)
