English Language Learners Validation (June 7 through July 22 at 5 PM)

This validation computes the ADM for ESL students and the percent of ESL. The ESL Percent will appear on the annual School and District Report Cards scheduled for public release on October 6, 2011.

The following are some pointers to remember when validating:

Data source is from Third Period Cumulative ADM (not the NCLB LEP collection).
Aggregations are based on attending school or district.
ESL ADM comes from the ADMProgTypCd = '02' records submitted.
Total ADM comes from the ADMProgTypCd for '01', and '04' to '12' records submitted.
Percent ESL is a ratio of the ESL ADM to the total (non-weighted) ADM.
It is not a head count.
