|Best Practices in Administering OAKS|
ODE has collaborated with districts, ESDs, legislators and Stand for Children to create the OAKS best practices guide that can be found at http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/page/?=499.
The purpose of the guide is to help schools and districts develop test administration policies and procedures that maximize the usefulness of assessment data and minimize the impact on instruction.
The suggestions in this guide are not mandatory and they are not static. Rather, we intend this document to be the start of a conversation that will continue and evolve. The best practices guide will similarly be revised as Oregon educators help to refine and improve the suggestions included in the document.
Mickey Garrison, Jill Weber and Tony Alpert will be leading a session at COSA on Friday, June 24 to discuss the critical elements of the guide and ODE will schedule WebExs in mid-July and August as additional training and discussion opportunities.
