|Nominees Sought for 2010 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching|
|The Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) is the highest recognition that a kindergarten through 12th-grade mathematics or science teacher may receive for outstanding teaching in the United States. Nominate outstanding elementary, grades K-6, mathematics and science teachers now for the 2010 awards. (Nominations for secondary school teachers, grades 7-12, will be accepted in 2011.)
The following are eligibility criteria for nominees. They must:
Shortly after they are nominated, all nominees will be contacted by e-mail and will be invited to submit an application to be considered for a state finalist award. The deadline for nominated teachers submitting applications is Monday, May 3, 2010. Nominees will be asked to send most application items electronically.
