The Oregon State Board of Education adopted the 2009 science academic content standards  at their February meeting. As noted in the introduction of the 2009 adopted science standards document, the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and the science content panel are working on guidance documents to support the science standards. These guidance documents will provide content standards specifications including boundaries, exclusions, examples, and key understandings. ODE anticipates that the guidance documents will be available on the science standards webpage in spring 2009.
